Welcome

Hello and welcome! My name is Rick (they/them).

I am a qualified, BACP registered integrative therapist offering LGBTQ+ affirmative online counselling and psychotherapy to individual adults.

My approach is caring, professional, and down to earth. Life can be challenging - if you want support and a place to work through things, I am here for you.

I welcome clients from all backgrounds. I specialise in working with people who are LGBTQ+ and/or have diverse relationship styles. I am neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, sex-positive, and kink-knowledgable. None of these subjects are requirements for working with me, but my experience is there if you need it!

If you have any questions, or want to work with me please get in touch, I will be happy to help! I offer a free introduction appointment if you would like to meet me and discuss how I may be able to support you.

People work with a therapist for a wide variety of individual reasons - all are valid.

Whether you have a specific issue in mind, or are struggling but unsure why, I am here to offer you support.

Some of the common issues I have experience working with are, but not limited to:

· Abuse (sexual, mental, emotional, and physical)

· Stress

· Lack of meaning in life

· Suicidal thoughts

· Being ‘stuck’ with a loss of direction or purpose

· Personal development

· Anxiety

· Depression

· Relationship issues

· Loss and bereavement

· Sexuality

· Gender

· Identity

How counselling can help

About Me

While the focus of therapy is (and should always be) on the client, I believe it is important to share some info about myself so you can make an informed choice in case you are looking for a therapist with particular identities.

I am queer, bisexual, white, non-binary, atheist, and am invisibly disabled.

Prior to psychotherapy, my background is in music and computing. I started my journey as a therapist after experiencing the healing potential therapy offers, and discovering a passion for helping others.

I live on the Wirral, and also volunteer as a counsellor for a local charity.

Outside of my work I enjoy gaming, painting miniatures, heavy music, and love a good cup of tea or coffee. I am also involved with kink-education in my local scene.

My fees

My fee is £50 per 60-minute appointment.

Appointments typically occur on a weekly basis.

I welcome both short-term and longer-term therapy arrangements.
